This post is mainly for completing the timeline. Most of this period is covered in the Project Morpheus posts. In the little time in Hamburg that I don't spend on the Morpheus, I join a few couchsurfing events. A paintball event, a birthday house party and - to add an entry to the "dumb things I did" list - participation in the beer mile. The beer mile is a sports event in which there is a race to run 4 x 400m and drink 4 x 1 half pint. Absolutely stupid, but I pull it off with flying colors and the rest of the evening is super relaxed. Cozy gathering with some amateur acrobatics and kabaddi.

For a weekend I also enjoy a little country air near Kiel. There I visit Michelle, an acquaintance from the notorious Duisburg train station. Kiel turns out to be a great city, especially for ship watching - all in all a very relaxing weekend.

My time in Hamburg finally ends with the regional train heading south... with a heavy heart- because this city, especially with all the friends I have found here and in the area, will always have a special place in my heart. Hamburg, it was my pleasure...see you next time... ;)
